‘I’m not sure what my kids are going to do’: Mom on why she’s ‘not sure what she’s going to wear’
The mother of a three-year-old girl who had to wear a diaper for more than two weeks said she was frustrated by her daughter’s constant requests to wear diapers for herself.
In a video posted Monday, Vanessa Jones said she is “really frustrated” that her daughter, who has asthma, is constantly crying, having to put on diapers for her to go to the restroom.
The video also shows the girl begging her mom for help with her homework.
The mother said she told her daughter that she was “stupid” for constantly crying and she was like, ‘I don’t want you to cry because I’m not wearing diapers for you,’ and I was like ‘No, I’m wearing them for myself,’ Jones told ABC News.
“She said, ‘Mom, I don’t have to wear these diapers.'”
Jones said that her child’s asthma is worsening and she worries that her son is going to have to use an inhaler to breathe.
“I’m going to put a mask on him and we’re going to go on a long walk,” Jones said.
“And then I’m going, ‘You need to get a mask, mom.'”
She also said that she has not yet seen a doctor and is not sure if she should even have her child taken into custody.
“This is not the way that I want to raise my child,” Jones told the ABC affiliate.
“
It’s not good enough to say, ‘Your child has asthma and I’m sorry, you need to take her to the hospital,’ and then tell me that’s what’s going on with her.”
