The UK will get a new breed of new home-entertainment and entertainment centre, as the country’s largest building retailer unveils its new home entertainment and entertainment-related products.
The £250m Centre for Music & Entertainment (CMEX) will house venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Theatre, and London’s Royal Festival Hall, as well as music-related exhibitions and other events.
The centre will also include a new venue, theatre, and concert hall.
CMEX, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has been building in London for 30 years.
The company will offer an “enormous” range of products, according to CEO and founder Tom Bassett.
“We’re going to bring the best in music, film, theatre and entertainment together in one big, beautiful, exciting space,” he said.
“It’s going to be a new kind of place.
The world has changed a lot, and we’re going back to that and bringing in the best from the past.”
Bassett said CMEX had already secured commitments to a “big chunk of the UK’s biggest music festivals”, including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, the Bends and the Reading < London Festival of Contemporary Art.
“I know there are a lot of people who are looking for that place, and I think they’re going for it,” he added.
CMex will not be the only UK building retailer to announce a new home music and entertainment venue.
Next month, the UK government is due to set up a new Music &.
Video Games & Entertainment Department.
This will include an expansion of its existing “home-entertaining and entertainment” department, which will also provide a range of services to businesses.
The music department will also receive funding to expand its “mature entertainment” offerings.
CMX is owned by British-based British retail giant Marks &.;amp; Spencer, which also owns the music department.
CMx’s chief executive, John Williams, said CMx had already signed contracts to operate three venues in the United States, with another opening in the US later this year.
“CMX is confident that our home entertainment products and our growing catalogue of music, films and music videos will be the cornerstone of the future of the music and film industry in the coming years,” he told the BBC.
Bassett told the news agency Reuters: “We are a big player in the music industry and a big part of the British entertainment industry and the UK is going to take a major part in that future, and CMX will be at the heart of it.”
